BCAT’s mission is to provide opportunities for careers through the arts, technology and workforce development. We offer two high quality and cost-free programs under one roof: the Youth Arts Program and the Adult Workforce Program.
BCAT was created to acknowledge and build on the talents and assets of adults and youth in Buffalo. Support from donors like you helps create economic advancement opportunities. Our high school youth graduate with transition plans and a pathway to college and/or careers. Our adults graduate work-ready and technically skilled to enter the workforce into mid-level careers with opportunities for advancement.
Adult Workforce classes offered include:
- Phlebotomy
- Pharmacy Technician
- Medical Coding
- Medical Billing and Insurance
- IT Fundamentals
- IT Help Desk
- Computer Security
- Landscape Maintenance
This year, 93 of our 107 adult participants will graduate, the majority with national certification in their field.
BCAT Youth programs include 3D Printing, Music Production/Sound Engineering, Filmmaking/Photography and Fine Arts. Over 50 youth from 10+ Buffalo public and charter schools attend each trimester.
